Oreon 11 (Beta Testing)
Hey everyone, after nearly a whole year of development and planning, we have now released Oreon 11 in the Testing Channel (Beta) and has exited the Dev Channel (Early Preview). This means the OS is somewhat stable enough for daily use on another computer, but still not recommended for production environments.
We will slowly start documenting everything for Oreon 11 on the wiki and our website, so please be patient with us. Lots of stuff isn’t finished yet, but will gradually build up into a more complete experience over the next few months.
We have updated our website to show Oreon 11, but it is listed as a beta.
aarch64 ISOs are not yet ready and are work in progress. x86_64 is ready.
Also note: the repositories may be a little broken for a few hours due to promotion of tens of thousands of packages to the testing branch. We’re working on promoting all the packages to that branch.
We finally have a release date
Oreon 11 is scheduled to officially release on October 5, 2026. We know you have been waiting.
